There’s plenty on offer for children at St Luke's.
Family Communion – Sunday, 11:00
We start the service all together. There’s usually a children’s talk before they head out for their Sunday school activities. Whether you (and your kids) are visitors or regular attendees, all children are welcome to join in.
Crèche – there's a room available for you to go with babies and smaller children at any point during the service. You can still hear the sermon and prayers there.
Juniors – this is for children from age 3 and upwards until they finish primary school.
Seniors – this is for children of secondary school age. During some services, these children stay in to listen.
All the children return to the main worship area in time for Communion. St Luke’s welcomes everyone at the Communion table, including children. If children put their hands out for bread, they will be given some. If parents would prefer, their children can receive a blessing instead.
We offer gluten free bread and non-alcoholic wine.
Youth Club – Sunday, 18:00-19:30
We run a youth club every Sunday evening in term time, which meets at the church. Children from Year 7 upwards are welcome.
Children’s Choir – Sunday, 10:30-11:00
The children’s choir regularly takes part in the morning worship. They rehearse every Sunday morning in term-time before the Family Communion service. The choir is open to all children in Year 2 and above.
We take the safety of children and other vulnerable people seriously. Sheena Cruse is our Safeguarding Officer, and Susie Holland is our Children’s Champion.
